Home > The Bible > Modern Non-English Languages Holy Bible: Modern Language TranslationsAs we noted on the opening page of this area of our site, the whole Bible is at present available in around 425 languages, the full New Testament in about 1100, and smaller portions in at least another 850. This covers the vast majority of the world's approximately six and a half billion people. It is estimated that around 200 million people still have no part of the Bible, mostly in small language groups; hundreds of translation projects are currently ongoing. There are more than 6,900 known living languages in the world. We do not attempt in these pages to provide access to a very wide range of languages, but here are a few.
